Application Process for booking of stall at Milan Utsav 2025

West Bengal Minorities’ Development and Finance Corporation is going to organize Milan Utsav 2025 from 3rd to 7th January, 2025 at the Park Circus Maidan. One of the main goals of the Milan Fair is to give the Beneficiaries of WBMDFC the opportunity to highlight their products to the public. From last year, a number of artisans / businessmen were given the opportunity to participate in this fair. In selection process, Priority will be given to the artisans / businessmen whose products are not usually available at the WBMDFC beneficiaries’ stalls. After the selection, a fee of Rs.1000/- will be charged and then an allotment letter will be given. Intimation will be given via SMS. One of the chief /main aims of this Milan Utsav is to provide an opportunity to the beneficiaries of West Bengal Minorities Development Finance Corporation to display their own products before all. Since last year some artisan, businesses have been provided with an opportunity to participate in this fair. Preference will be given to those outside beneficiaries who produce such goods as are not available in the stalls of the beneficiaries of WBMDFC.

The following products are usually available in the beneficiaries’ stall.

3.	Other craftsmen / businessmen	Items that are not in the list above will take preference like 1) Cane / Bamboo, 2. Metal Handicraft, 3. Dokra Craft, 4. Mat Artisan, 5. Potter, 6. Shola Craft, 7. Wooden Craft 8. Orchid & Cactus Nursery 9. Utensils (Metal/ Ceramic), 10. Santiniketany Bag / fancy Lether bag etc.

Process for Booking Stalls

1. Qualification

• The applicant must be from the minority community (Muslim, Christian, Buddhist, Sikh, Parsi and Jain) in West Bengal.
• Only one applicant can apply only one stall.
• If the applicant is a self-help group then it should have at least 60% minority members.

2.The method of application

• o Only through the online www.wbmdfc.org portal; Apply by from 9th to 18th December, 2024.

3. Description of the stall

• Size of stall : depending upon availability of space.
• A fee of 1000/- will be charged for each stall booking.

4. Procedure for stall selection

• Shortlisted on 19th & 20th December 2024 and inform to the short listed applicants through SMS for date and time.
• New applicants will be first preference (except who are participated in last three consecutive years) for short list.
• Applicant should come with the sample of the product and voter card (EPIC) for the stall selection tentatively on 23rd & 24th December, 2024 at 2 p.m. at WBMDFC, Amber Bhavan, DD-27/E, Sector-I, Saltlake City, Kolkata - 700064.
• If selected for the stall, the fees has to be deposited within one day. Otherwise, the it will be deemed to have been cancelled..

5. Other Rules

• An applicant will have to report to the Mela ground with your goods / products by 12 noon on 2nd January, 2025.
• It is compulsory to be present in the stall with all the goods/products by 4 pm on 2nd January, 2025.
• On 2nd January, 2025, Visual Merchandise (V.M.) Team will assist you in arranging goods/products and you must participate there. Otherwise the stall will be cancelled and the cancelled stalls will be distributed to the applicants in the waiting list. In that case the feed of stall booking are non-refundable.
• Need-based accommodation may be provided
• No TA or DA will be given.
• You will have to arrange hanger, Manikin, Stand , Bill book etc for decoration of stalls .
• QR code is mandatory for UPI payment.
• Leaving Mela ground will not be allowed until the Mela is over.
• If necessary, 2 (two) person / SHG applicants may have to sit in one / same stall. In that case the fees for stall booking will not change.
• The decision of the corporation authority will be final.
